Overview

Sequences are outreach campaigns with any number of sequential contact points and tasks that are customized to personally engage your target audiences at scale. They help your team deliver communications to your customers and complete the right tasks at the right time to speed your prospects through your pipeline and turn them into paying customers as efficiently as possible.

Create a New Sequence with an Email Template

Launch Apollo, hover your mouse over Engage in the navbar, and then click Sequences.

Click + New Sequence to create a new sequence.

Click New.

Give the new sequence a name and then click + Create.

Click + Add Step to add a new step to the sequence.

In the "Wait for" text box, set the amount of time that Apollo should wait before sending out the email included in this step after you have activated the sequence.

Find the Sweet Spot!

For more information on how to take advantage of sequence schedules and wait time between steps, please refer to the "Create and Edit Sequence Sending Schedules" article. Please also note, the optimal timing for your target audience will depend on the type of sales strategy you choose. Research your industry, plan your strategy, and then A/B test to find the approach that works best for your ideal customers. In the "Edit Template modal," click Load templates.

Choose the template you would like to use for the sequence email.

Click Save Changes.

Create a New Sequence Without an Email Template

Launch Apollo, hover your mouse over Engage in the navbar, and then click Sequences.

Click + New Sequence to create a new sequence.

Click New.

Give the new sequence a name and then click + Create.

Click + Add Step to add a new step to the sequence.

Default First Step

Please note, by default Apollo will automatically make the first step in any new sequence an automatic email. You can customize what form each subsequent step takes.

In the "Wait for" text box, set the amount of time that Apollo should wait before sending out the email included in this step after you have activated the sequence.

Click Add.

Compose your new email.

Compose Email

To save this email as a new template, click Save as new template and give the new template a name in the modal.

Click Save Changes.

Add Additional Steps to a Sequence

Launch Apollo, hover your mouse over Engage in the navbar, and then click Sequences.

Click the sequence to which you want to add a step.

Choose Sequence

Click + Add Step.

Click the drop down to choose the type of step.

Step Type

In the "Wait for" text box, set the amount of time that Apollo should wait before sending out the email included in this step after you have activated the sequence.

Time Frame

Click the drop-down to choose a priority.

Priority

Click Add.

Add Step

You have now added a step to the sequence. Repeat this process to add more.

Drag and Drop Sequence Steps

You can drag and drop the steps in your sequence to adjust the order.

Launch Apollo, hover your mouse over Engage in the navbar, and then click Sequences.

Sequences

Click the sequence for which you want to rearrange your steps.

Choose Sequence

Click and hold the two horizontal bars icon in the top right corner of the step. Drag the step to the new position.

Click Yes to confirm your choice.

You have now rearranged your steps.
