Overview

Sender dynamic variables enable you to populate your AI power-up prompts and custom prompts for pre-meeting insights with information specific to your product and company. Using these variables, you can automatically add basic details such as your name and email, along with specific information about your product such as value propositions and customer pain points.

Update AI Content Center

Apollo's AI relies on details you supply to customize and generate sender variables. To update your AI content:

  1. Launch Apollo and click Settings > AI content center.
  2. Edit your content strategy. At a minimum, address the required fields such as customer pain points and value proposition. Apollo's AI creates more effective content as you provide more details. Update your content strategy.
  3. Select a contact to generate a preview based on your content updates.

With your AI content center updated, you're ready to use sender variables.

Use a Sender Dynamic Variable in a Power-up

To use a sender variable in an AI power-up:

  1. Launch Apollo and click either People or Companies.
  2. Use search filters to find and select the people or companies you want to target. Then, click Run AI prompt and choose to use a template or a custom prompt. Update your content strategy.
  3. Edit the AI prompt. Then, click { } and go to the Sender tab. Access dynamic variables.
  4. Select the variables you want to populate the prompt. To use variables generated by your AI content center updates, scroll to the Additional Information section and choose from options including:
    • Company or product name {{sender_company_name}}
    • Company overview{{offering}}
    • Additional context{{additional_context}}
    • Customer pain points{{pain_point}}
    • Value proposition {{value_proposition}}
    • Call-to-action {{cta}}
    • Primary competitors {{primary_competitors}}
    • Product differentiators {{advantage_over_competitors}}
    • Opt-out message{{opt_out_message}}
    Choose sender variables.
  5. Save and run your AI power-up.

You've now used a sender dynamic variable in a power-up.

Use a Sender Dynamic Variable to Generate a Pre-meeting Insight

To use a sender variable to generate a custom pre-meeting insight:

  1. Launch Apollo and click Meetings. Then, access an upcoming meeting with an external participant.
  2. Click Insights. Access pre-meeting insights.
  3. Click Edit template for the template you want to use. Edit insight templates.
  4. Click { } and go to the Sender tab. Access sender variables.
  5. Select the variables you want to populate the prompt. To use variables generated by your AI content center updates, scroll to the Additional Information section and choose from options including:
    • Company or product name {{sender_company_name}}
    • Company overview{{offering}}
    • Additional context{{additional_context}}
    • Customer pain points{{pain_point}}
    • Value proposition {{value_proposition}}
    • Call-to-action {{cta}}
    • Primary competitors {{primary_competitors}}
    • Product differentiators {{advantage_over_competitors}}
    • Opt-out message{{opt_out_message}}
    Add sender variables.
  6. (Recommended) Click Preview to review the updated insight. Click Save in notes to turn the insight into a note that can be accessed again. Preview the insights template update.

You've now generated a pre-meeting insight using sender dynamic variables.
