Overview

In Beta

Sheets is currently in beta and is only available to select people. Apollo automatically enrolls users as the feature becomes available.

Sheets is a spreadsheet workspace alongside Apollo where you pull Apollo and third-party records together, enrich them, and export to the Apollo Workspace or your third-party tools.

Run a sheet once when you need answers today, like cleaning a list before a campaign or researching a batch of accounts before a call. Review the results, export what you need, and move on.

You can also put a sheet on a schedule when the work repeats. New records arrive on their own, your columns process them as they land, and finished rows reach your sequences or CRM without anyone starting the job. Instead of rebuilding the same list every week, you act on fresh results, and your sheet becomes a working part of your go-to-market (GTM) system.

Credit Where It's Due

Apollo charges credits for data access and enrichment, such as when you use Apollo data or run waterfall enrichment with a third-party provider. Importing data from your saved records or your CRM is free. Check your results before you add them, and view your plan details on the Apollo pricing page.

How It Works

Every sheet is built from rows and columns, but the columns do more than hold values. A column is an operation that can be run. An AI column researches each record, a formula column calculates across your other columns, a lookup column pulls a matching row from another sheet, an HTTP request column calls an external API, and an enrichment column fills gaps with Apollo data. Each one writes its result into its own column beside the data already there, so your original records stay intact and you can see where every value came from.

Data moves through a sheet in three stages. You import records from a search, a file, a webhook, or a connected system. You transform them by adding columns. Then you export the finished rows to wherever your team works. Only that last stage writes anything outside the sheet, which is what makes a sheet easy to experiment in: a column that returns the wrong answer costs you a rerun in credits rather than a damaged record.

Most column types and every export except a CSV download carry run settings, so any stage can repeat on its own. When a new row arrives in your sheet, you can set the columns that follow to run automatically. For example, Apollo can run waterfall enrichment to find email addresses whenever you add a new contact to your sheet.

Get Started

Work through these articles in order to build your first sheet, put its results to work, and see the whole thing running end to end.

Create a Sheet and Import Data Build a sheet from scratch, an Apollo search, an agentic web search, a CSV, a webhook, your saved records, or a connected integration.
Transform Data with Columns Add AI, formula, lookup, HTTP request, and enrichment columns, then arrange, filter, sort, and deduplicate what comes back.
Export and Automate a Sheet Send your finished rows to Apollo, a CRM, or a sales engagement platform, then set the export to repeat on its own.
Use Case: Enrich and Route Inbound MQLs with Sheets Follow one worked example end to end, from a CRM import through formula and enrichment columns to an automated sequence enrollment.

Frequently asked questions

Does building a sheet change my Apollo records? What is a column in a sheet? Where can the data in a sheet come from?
Where can the data in a sheet go? Can a sheet run on its own? What are the limits in a sheet?

Does building a sheet change my Apollo records?

No. A sheet holds its own copy of the records you bring into it, so adding columns, filtering, sorting, and deduplicating change only what sits in the sheet. Your Apollo records, your CRM, and your sales engagement platform stay as they are until you run an export to those systems.

What is a column in a sheet?

A column is an operation that runs once per row. Depending on the type you choose, a column can research a record with AI, calculate a value with a formula, look up a matching row in another sheet, call an external API, or enrich the record with Apollo data. The result lands in that column beside the data you already have, so nothing gets overwritten.

Back to FAQs

Where can the data in a sheet come from?

You can build a sheet from an Apollo search for people or companies, an agentic web search across the open web, a CSV file, a webhook, your saved Apollo records, third-party data waterfall vendors, or a connected integration such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, Databricks, Google Cloud, or Google Sheets. You can also add more sources to a sheet that already holds data, which lets you combine records from several places in one workspace.

Back to FAQs

Where can the data in a sheet go?

You can download a sheet as a CSV, send its rows to another sheet, add people to a sequence or a list, write rows to your saved Apollo records, or push records to Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, Outreach, or Salesloft.

Back to FAQs

Can a sheet run on its own?

Yes. Most column types and every export except a CSV download carry run settings. A column or an export can run when new rows are added or a value changes, run on a cadence and time you set, or run only for the rows that match your criteria. You can activate or pause those runs one column at a time.
