Overview
The Salesforce integration error log allows you to view any sync errors that Apollo receives when pushing information from Apollo into Salesforce. You can browse through your error history, access further information about the error, filter by date and timeframe, and retry a failed sync.
Check out the following sections to use the Salesforce integration error log on Apollo.
Access the Error Log
To use the Salesforce integration error log:
- Launch Apollo and click Settings > Integrations > Salesforce > Error Logs.
- Apollo shows any sync errors from the Salesforce integration.
- (Optional) Click Show filters to find errors by type or date range.
- Each error includes a description, and Apollo shows whether the integration can automatically retry any failed push.
There are a few common sync errors to watch out for with the Salesforce integration:
-
INVALID_OR_NULL_FOR_RESTRICTED_PICKLISTorBad value for restricted picklist field: These errors happen when Salesforce rejects a value that isn't allowed for a field. To fix this, review your field mapping and make sure the value in Apollo also exists in Salesforce and is allowed for the selected record type. For step-by-step guidance, see Salesforce Integration Overview. -
READ_ONLY_VALUEorNot one of the allowed options: These errors occur when Apollo tries to write to a field that can't be edited or uses a value that isn't allowed. Update or remove the mapping to resolve the issue. Learn more in Salesforce Data Mapping.
- Hover over Auto-retry to view the date and time that Apollo plans to retry syncing.
Apollo automatically attempts to retry a failed push — up to five times. If retrying doesn't work, address the source of the error, then manually retry the sync.
- Check an error, and then click Retry Selected to manually retry.
You have now use the error log for the Salesforce integration.
