Frequently Asked Questions

I’ve forgotten my Apollo password. What should I do?

Fear not! Follow these 5 simple steps to reset your password and get back into Apollo.

Why didn’t I receive a password reset email?

If you already followed these steps to reset your password but can’t find the reset email in your inbox, try the following:

  1. Check your spam folder.
  2. If you still don’t see a reset email, head back to the Apollo login page. Click Reset It Here to resend a password reset email to your inbox.
  3. Still not receiving a password reset email? Reach out to the Apollo support team for assistance.

Can I change my login method for Apollo?

Yes! Admins can switch the method your team uses to log into Apollo.

If your team's admin initially set up single sign-on (SSO) to require users to access Apollo via Google or Microsoft, the same admin or another admin user can switch your login method to access Apollo via email and password.

If you're an admin, log out of your Apollo account and follow these steps to request a password reset. Once you’ve created a new password, you can use your new credentials to log into Apollo without SSO.

If your team uses traditional login credentials via email and password, as an admin, you can enable single sign-on (SSO) for more secure user authentication. Follow these steps to set up single sign-on for your team.

Once you’ve enabled SSO, go to the login page and click Log In with Google, Log In with Microsoft, or Log In with your Organization to access your Apollo account.

Can I change the email associated with my Apollo login?

Yes! Individual users can update the email associated with their personal Apollo login. In addition, admins can update the email address for other users.

To change your personal Apollo account email:

  1. Launch Apollo and go to Settings > Profile > General.
  2. Under Account Info, click Edit next to your email.
  3. Enter your new email address, then click Change email.
  4. Apollo sends a confirmation email to your new email address. Open this email and click the link to confirm your requested change.

Admins can update the account email for other users. To do this:

  1. Launch Apollo and go to Settings > Users.
  2. Click on the user you want to update.
  3. Under Account Info, scroll to the user's email and click Edit.
  4. Enter a new email and the user’s account password, then click Change email.
  5. Apollo sends a confirmation email to the user’s new email address. They need to open this email and click to confirm your requested change.

Why didn’t Apollo recognize my email when I tried to log in via SSO?

If you see an email mismatch error when attempting to log in via SSO, there are a few things you can check to resolve this:

  1. Make sure you’re using the email address associated with your Apollo account. This is the email you used to create your Apollo account or the one your admin used to invite you to Apollo.
  2. Reach out to your SSO admin to make sure your email is correctly set up for your organization’s SSO system.
  3. Check with your Apollo admin to see if they’ve recently set up multi-factor authentication or changed your team’s email security protocols.
  4. If none of the above steps work, reach out to the Apollo support team for additional assistance.

Why did Apollo ask for a verification code when I tried to log in?

Apollo uses email verification to prevent suspicious logins and keep your account secure. For example, Apollo may flag a login attempt as suspicious if it comes from a new device or location. Apollo uses the following information to flag suspicious logins:

  • Location
  • IP address
  • ISP
  • Network fingerprint
  • Device

If Apollo flags your login attempt as suspicious, Apollo sends a one-time verification passcode to the email associated with your account. You need to enter this passcode to regain access to Apollo.
