Overview
Notes enable you to capture and record ideas, observations, and all the important information required to move prospects forward. Notes work on contacts, accounts, meetings, and deals, so you can track activity throughout your pipeline. Use notes to tag teammates, log insights, and get to know your prospects.

Create a Note
To create a note, navigate to a contact, account, meeting, or deal. Add a note, and highlight words to style your text.
Tag teammates by typing @
followed by their name.
Contacts
- Launch Apollo and click People. Then, click the Saved tab and open a contact profile.
- In the notes widget, click Add note.

- Add a note and style your text. Use notes to record prospect insights, engagement ideas, and other key details.

- (Recommended) Associate your note to records such as deals, meetings, conversations. This makes notes more easily accessible across Apollo.

- When finished, click Save note.

Accounts
- Launch Apollo and click Companies. Then, click the Saved tab and open an account profile.
- In the notes widget, click Add note.

- Use notes to log business insights and brainstorm how to tailor your approach.
- (Recommended) Associate your note to records such as deals, meetings, conversations. This makes notes more easily accessible across Apollo.
- When finished, click Save note.

Meetings
- Launch Apollo and click Meetings. Then, open a meeting you've scheduled in Apollo or a past meeting.
- In the notes widget, click Add note.

- Add meeting preparation tips, next steps, or other notes.
- (Recommended) Associate your note to records such as deals, and conversations. This makes notes more easily accessible across Apollo.
- When finished, click Save note.

- Add details like negotiation guidance and outcomes, stakeholders, or other insights.
- (Recommended) Associate your note to records such as meetings and conversations. This makes notes more easily accessible across Apollo.

How do I tag someone in a note?
To tag someone in a note, type @
, then type or select their name from the list.
How do I style the text in my note?
To style your text, highlight words then use the toolbar to add bold, italics, underlining, strikethrough, numbered or ordered lists, or links.
You can also use keyboard shortcuts like bold: ⌘

on Windows.

To associate a note to a record in Apollo, open the note and choose the contacts, accounts, deals, meetings, or conversations you want to associate with the note. You can select multiple entities at once.
When finished, click Save note.
Can I export notes to my CRM?
Yes, you can export notes to Salesforce or HubSpot.
- Salesforce: Connect Salesforce to Apollo, then configure push settings to export notes.
- HubSpot: Connect HubSpot to Apollo, then configure sync settings to export notes.
