Overview

Import Gong calls into Apollo to centralize call recordings and unlock Apollo Conversations features such as transcripts, AI-written summaries, and conversation analysis.

The integration is built to connect Gong with Apollo, not to bulk-extract Gong data as a substitute for Gong, reverse engineer Gong's services, or otherwise misuse them.

 
Permissions Required

You must have the necessary permissions to import calls from Gong. If you don't have permissions, contact an admin to connect Gong with Apollo. For the initial setup, your team will need API credentials from Gong.

Credit Where It's Due

Access to Gong call imports depends on your Apollo plan. Importing past Gong calls doesn't consume conversation minutes, but future-synced Gong calls consume conversation minutes as usual.

If you run out of conversation minutes, you can purchase more from your plan page. For more information, check out Customize and Manage Your Apollo Plan.

To import Gong calls to Apollo:

  1. Launch Apollo and click Conversations.
  2. Click Import calls.
  3. Enter your Gong API credentials, then click Test connection to test the connection. If the connection is successful, click Connect.

  1. Configure the sync settings.
Toggle import past calls and set a date range to import past calls, then toggle Sync future calls to automatically import new Gong calls.
  1. When you're done, click Next.
  2. After reviewing, click Start syncing, then click Close. Apollo imports your calls based on the date range you specified.

Gong API limits

Gong imports are subject to your Gong account’s API rate limits. Large syncs may take longer to complete depending on your Gong API usage and the size of the selected date range. To learn more, check out Gong’s API documentation.
