If you can do it in Apollo, the AI assistant can help. Just ask to find key decision-makers, prioritize accounts using deep web research, build and optimize sequences, improve messaging and deliverability, or create workflows, export lists, and report on performance — all without clicking through every step.
Best of all, the AI assistant improves with you over time by recognizing patterns and helping you succeed with best practices baked in. You can even use the assistant to analyze your account and help you manage credits or mailboxes.
Does your organization already have an enterprise subscription to an LLM provider such as OpenAI, Perplexity, or Anthropic? You can connect your own LLM key in Apollo so that any LLM-powered actions route your requests through your existing subscription, helping you centralize credit charges.

Get Started
Before you use the AI assistant, your company should configure the AI context center so Apollo AI understands your business and product or service. This ensures the assistant's outputs are tailored to your organization. You can add multiple products and services, then get results from AI tailored to each one.
To get started with the AI assistant:
- Launch Apollo and click Execute with AI on any page.
- Alternatively, click Assistant from the navigation menu for a full-screen experience.
If it's your first time using the assistant, a guided flow helps you get started. Follow the prompts to get your first response.
- Click Context to select a specific project or product / service the AI should reference.
- Use suggested prompts or describe what you want to accomplish in natural language. The AI assistant accesses relevant data in your Apollo account to help execute your request.
- Orchestration is key. Consider chaining multiple requests to search, enrich, qualify, and sequence within a single conversation!

How does the AI assistant work?
The AI assistant is a chat experience built into Apollo. Ask a question in natural language and it uses Apollo AI and third-party AI models to interpret your request, pull relevant context from the parts of Apollo you can access, and return a concise answer or draft. You can then review and edit before taking action.

Who can access the AI assistant?

Do I need to know special prompts or commands to use the assistant?
No, you don't! Use natural language in conversations, and the assistant adapts to help you on Apollo. No special prompt engineering required.
What data does the AI assistant have access to?
The assistant uses the data you provide to Apollo in your prompts or requests and depending on the request, may use data available in your Apollo account in order to generate responses. When the AI assistant uses third-party AI models, your data is sent to those third-parties only to produce the requested output. Your data isn't used to train third-party models. What if the assistant gets stuck or gives me the wrong result?
It's possible for AI to sometimes misunderstand you. Try re-phrasing your request or question. Alternatively, provide more details or context. If all else fails, you can always execute your task in the traditional Apollo interface.
Are there limits to how much I can use the AI assistant?
Your Apollo plan determines how much you can use the assistant. Paid plans include unlimited chats and messages with the AI assistant. Free plans include five chats per billing cycle, with ten messages per chat. A chat is a single conversation with the AI assistant; a message is a single message you send to the AI assistant.

Some actions performed by the AI assistant, like saving contacts or enriching records, may incur credit usage. The assistant asks your consent before performing actions that use credits. You can track your credit usage on Apollo at any time.

Using the AI assistant is as simple as having a conversation online. Here are a few tips to keep in mind:

- Review the assistant's output before acting on it, and switch back to the traditional Apollo interface if needed.
- Double-check responses for accuracy, and ensure any generated messaging matches the tone, voice, and content you wish to send.

Why did the assistant behave differently than I expected?
The AI assistant interprets your request using natural language processing and context from your Apollo account. Responses may vary depending on phrasing, available data, and your account permissions. If you don't have permission to perform an action in Apollo, the assistant can't perform it for you.
If the response from the assistant isn't what you expect, try clarifying your request by adding more detail, or break your goal into smaller steps.
Why does the assistant ask follow up questions?
The assistant may ask follow up questions when your request is broad or vague, or when additional context is needed to safely perform an action. This helps prevent unintended changes and ensures actions performed in Apollo match your intent.
When are credits used with the assistant?
