Overview

The AI assistant on Apollo helps you work faster and smarter through natural language conversations, turning your intent into action. Simply describe what you want to accomplish, and the assistant uses your existing Apollo data and saved business messaging to generate a recommendation or draft action, then helps you apply it.

If you can do it in Apollo, the AI assistant can help.

Just ask to find key decision-makers, prioritize accounts using deep web research, build and optimize sequences, improve messaging and deliverability, update your AI context center, or create workflows, export lists, and report on performance, all without clicking through every step.

Best of all, the AI assistant improves with you over time by recognizing patterns and helping you succeed with best practices baked in. You can even use the assistant to analyze your account and help you manage credits or mailboxes.

In addition to working on demand, you can use agents with the AI assistant to have Apollo handle specific outbound jobs automatically on a schedule. Apollo runs the agent in the background and returns the results to the AI assistant for you to review and act on.

Frequently asked questions

Who can use the AI assistant? Does my Apollo plan affect how much I can use it? When does the AI assistant use credits?
Can the AI assistant change my records or outreach? How do my Apollo permissions affect the AI assistant?

Who can use the AI assistant?

Anyone on your Apollo team can use the AI assistant without a separate AI assistant permission. The assistant follows your existing Apollo permissions: if you don't have permission to perform an action in Apollo, the assistant can't perform it for you.

Back to FAQs

Does my Apollo plan affect how much I can use it?

Yes. Paid plans include unlimited chats and messages. Free plans include five chats per billing cycle, with ten messages per chat. A chat is one conversation, and a message is one request you send within that conversation.

Chat limits are separate from the credits used to perform Apollo actions. Access to scheduled agents also depends on your plan. Review your Apollo plan for your current access.

When does the AI assistant use credits?

Sending a message doesn't automatically use Apollo credits. Credits are used when the assistant performs a credit-consuming action, such as accessing net-new contact data or enriching records. By default, the AI assistant shows the credit cost and waits for approval before spending credits.

However, you can also set a chat credit limit for a conversation and track the credits used in that thread. Actions within the limit can run automatically. Actions that would exceed the limit prompt for approval first.

The number of credits used depends on the action and the data accessed. For charging rules and usage details, check out Review credit usage in Apollo. To review your current credit usage, go to Settings > Credits & activity > Credit usage.

Can the AI assistant change my records or outreach?

Yes. In addition to answering questions and drafting recommendations, the assistant can help directly apply actions in Apollo, such as saving prospects to lists, enriching records, and creating or updating sequences.

When using AI for work, always check any generated messaging and prospect matches before using them in outreach. When running outreach with the assistant, review any proposed action, and confirm the selected records, lists, or sequences match your expectations, then validate any credit estimate before proceeding.
