Apollo offers a highly accurate database of hundreds of millions of people, allowing you to find and connect with your ideal customers across the world.
Search for people to find great prospects, then reach out to them through sequences, calls, and meetings to turn them into buyers.
The following section describes how to search for people on Apollo.
Search for People
Check out Use Apollo to Find New Customers for a strategic approach to finding buyers. This guide helps you identify the ideal customer profiles and personas most likely to buy from your business. The results can inform your search filters.
A people search limits your search results to people.
To search for people:
- Launch Apollo and click Search > People.
- Click Show Filters to browse filters to refine your search results. Click More Filters to see an expanded list of filters.
- Select a filter and configure it to search for the people most likely to benefit from your outreach. Use filters like persona, job title, location, or company size to hone in on people matching your ideal customer profile.

- As you add and edit filters, Apollo updates your search results.
- Some filters allow you to find people by the type of company they work at, like the # of employees and buying intent filters. To view company info filters, click Show Filters > More Filters. Then click Type and check Company Info.
- Other filters, like time in current role or total years of experience, allow you to find people by their personal attributes. To view person info filters, click Show Filters > More Filters. Then click Type and check Person Info.
Some Apollo plans include more filters than others. To access advanced filters, upgrade your plan. If you have questions about upgrading, reach out to the Apollo sales team.
- (Optional) Click Search settings to adjust the layout of your search results.
- Click Fields > Add fields to table to add or remove fields that should appear in search results. Click and drag ⋮⋮ to arrange the order of your fields for search results.
- Click × to return to your search results.
- (Optional) Click Save as new search to save your search view and access the same search filters quickly.

You can save your search results as contacts, then enroll them in a sequence, export them to a CSV, or add them to a list.
