Overview
The Cursor integration is in beta. Product functionality and pricing may change.
If you use Cursor, connect Apollo and use Apollo data in your AI-powered coding workflow. Build apps, dashboards, scripts, prototypes, internal tools, and GTM workflows with Apollo MCP.
With Apollo on Cursor, you can:
- Find prospects using natural language
- Search for companies that match your ICP
- Enrich people or companies
- Create or update contacts and accounts
- Send one-off emails
- Build and improve sequences
- Create and manage tasks
- Analyze performance
- Use Apollo data while coding apps, dashboards, automations, and internal GTM tools
Apollo remains your system of record, while Cursor becomes the place where you build, iterate, and take action with Apollo data from your code editor. Everything runs on your existing Apollo permissions, plan limits, and credit balance.
That means you can move from idea to working GTM tool without switching between your code editor and Apollo or manually copying prospect and account data between platforms. And setup is simple: install Apollo from the Cursor marketplace to start using the integration.
With Apollo MCP, your Apollo permissions, plan, and API rate limits still apply.
Some actions on Apollo MCP consume credits. Review credit usage by action.
Using Apollo MCP requires you to sign in to Apollo with a work email address, like name@company.com. Free or personal email addresses, like Gmail or Yahoo addresses, aren't supported.
Check out the following sections to connect and use Apollo with Cursor.

Use Apollo on Cursor
Once connected, you can use Apollo with Cursor to research, build, code, and take action with Apollo data. There are no special commands or complex prompts required. Just describe what you want to build or do, and Cursor can use your Apollo account to complete supported actions.
Cursor can only perform actions in Apollo that you can perform yourself based on your permission profile, Apollo plan, and credit availability. If you can't do it, Cursor can't either.
To use Apollo on Cursor:
- Open Cursor.
- Click + > MCP Servers.
- Ensure Apollo is toggled on.
- Use natural language to describe your request or goal. Cursor can use Apollo to search, enrich, create, update, and analyze Apollo records while you work in your code editor.
- Review any suggested actions before Cursor applies changes in Apollo or uses Apollo data in your project.
- Follow these best practices to get the best results:
- Be specific about titles, industries, locations, company size, and other ICP details to improve search accuracy.
- Build with a clear goal. Tell Cursor what you want to create and how Apollo data should be used. For example: "Build a simple dashboard that shows enriched account data for SaaS companies in North America."
- Use Apollo data intentionally. Ask Cursor to use Apollo for prospecting, enrichment, account research, reporting, and GTM workflows that support what you're building.
- Review actions before creating or updating contacts, accounts, sequences, tasks, or other Apollo records.
- Use company domains for enrichment. When enriching a person or company, include the company's website domain to help Apollo find the right match. For example: "Enrich Maya Chen, Head of Sales at sumwaresoftware.io."
- Enrich after searching. Searching for new people returns profiles without full contact details. Follow up with a request like: "Enrich the top three results."
- Enrich one company at a time. For best results, enrich contacts from one company per request instead of mixing multiple companies.
- Review generated code before using it. If Cursor uses Apollo data in an app, dashboard, script, or automation, review the code, stored data, and sharing settings before running or publishing your work.
- Protect your data. Don't commit Apollo data, API responses, credentials, private prospect information, or account information to public repositories.
- Use deduplication when creating contacts. Ask Cursor: "Create this contact with dedupe enabled" to avoid duplicates in your CRM.
- Here are a few example requests to help get you started:
| Examples | |
|---|---|
| Search for people | Search for companies |
| Create or update contacts and accounts | Enrich contacts and accounts |
| Send one-off emails | Create sequences and variants |

If an action isn't working or doesn't appear in Cursor, try disconnecting and reconnecting Apollo.
