Overview
Apollo's Google Maps integration lets you search for local businesses by location and import them directly into Apollo, turning nearby businesses into accounts you can prospect. Whether you're targeting museums in Los Angeles or auto dealers in Chicago, you can discover, review, and import nearby companies in just a few clicks, no manual data entry required.
Use an interactive map to search for companies by city, address, or your current location. You can also adjust your search radius and target specific business types to further refine your results. Explore up to sixty company results per search, including ratings, review counts, and business websites, before deciding what you want to import to Apollo.
When you're ready to import, Apollo saves your selected companies as accounts and automatically adds them to a list for easy follow-up via Apollo sequences, workflows, and enrichment.

Follow the steps below to search for and import local companies via Google Maps within Apollo.
Search for Local Companies
Users need permission to bulk import accounts via CSV in order to use this feature. Need access? Ask your Apollo admin to update your permission profile.
To find local companies in Apollo via Google Maps:
- Launch Apollo and go to Companies.
- Click Import > Find local businesses.
- Use the interactive map to set your search location. You can:
- Manually search for an address, city, or zip code.
- Click Search by coordinates to enter a precise location via latitude and longitude.
- Click Current location to search for companies near you. Apollo asks for permission to access your current location and provide it to Google.
- Adjust the map radius to reduce or expand your search result limits by distance.
- Select a business type to target. You can choose from the following pre-built options:

- Alternatively, use Free text as your search type to manually search for a business type that isn't on Apollo's list.
- (Optional) Set a results limit. You can search for twenty, forty, or sixty companies at a time.
- Click Search.
Apollo provides a list of local companies based on your search criteria. Each business is also pinned on an interactive map for you to preview.
Import Local Companies to Apollo
Next, it's time to review your search results and decide which local companies you want to import to Apollo. To do this:
- Scroll through your local business search results, ordered by distance from your search location. Each result displays the following Google Maps data:
- Company Name
- Distance
- Company Address
- Rating
- Review Count
- Company Website
- Click View on map to zoom into a specific company's location on the interactive map.
- Use the checkboxes to select each company you want to save to Apollo. If a local company listing includes a phone number, you can access this number after import.
- Click Save accounts to import your selected companies to Apollo.
- Apollo automatically adds your imported companies to a list. Click View list to open your list and begin taking action on the local companies you saved.
- Click View credit usage to review the total number of Apollo credits used to save your selected companies.
From your new companies list, you can take immediate action to keep the momentum going. Add saved companies to sequences, create automated workflows, find associated prospects, or get additional outreach guidance from Apollo's AI Assistant.
