Overview
Teams with large contact lists can keep contact data updated with CSV enrichment. Enrichment improves both people and company data, providing the most updated information on names, job titles, location, employment, company funding, and more. CSV enrichment is a great way to leverage the vast amount of data available in Apollo for the most effective outreach to your existing contacts.
Check out the following sections to use CSV enrichment for your people or company data.

Check out Apollo plans to see which plans include CSV enrichment or credit packages. Your plan may limit the total number of record enrichments. Enrichment record limits don't reset at the end of your billing cycle. You can manage your plan to explore credit packages or upgrade options.
To enrich a CSV of contacts:
- Launch Apollo. In the left navigation, go to Data enrichment > CSV.
If you don’t see Data enrichment, your role or team may not have enrichment access. Contact your Apollo admin to enable access. - Click Import CSV.
CSV files must be .csv files up to 50 MB and contain no more than 100,000 rows. Files that exceed these limits will cause an error.
To work around this limit, split large files into smaller separate CSVs.
- Under Enrich people, click Edit settings to choose the fields you want to enrich with Apollo data.
- By default, all fields are selected. Check the data you want to enrich without impacting your team's setup.
- When finished, click Save settings.
Apollo can enrich the following fields for people CSVs. In Enrich people, Edit settings includes both people fields and company fields. Company fields control which company-related columns appear in the enriched people CSV. The fields available in Edit settings don’t change based on plan, permissions, Apollo-only enrichment, or Multi-source enrichment. However, Multi-source configuration options may only appear for eligible teams.

- Choose whether Apollo should enrich email addresses, mobile numbers, or both for contacts. Mobile number enrichment requires Direct Dials access. Eligible teams may also see Multi-source options for email or phone enrichment. If your CSV has more than 50,000 rows, Multi-source is disabled and Apollo shows the standard options instead.
- Click Confirm.
- Apollo enriches the data in your CSV and emails you when the file is ready to download. Larger CSV files may take longer to enrich. Click Done or upload another CSV.
If you opted to enrich both emails and phone numbers, download your enriched CSV file to access new contact data for the following fields:
- Enriched work direct phone
- Enriched home phone
- Enriched mobile phone
- Enriched other phone
- Enriched corporate phone
CSV files downloaded before February 13, 2025, included data for one enriched mobile number. CSV files downloaded on or after February 13, 2025, include enriched data for all available phone number types.
To access additional phone number types for contacts enriched before February 13, 2025, re-upload your original CSV file. Re-enriching your CSV file consumes additional credits.
When you get the enriched file, upload the contacts to Apollo. You can enroll them in a sequence, add them to a list, reach out with the dialer, or book meetings to continue outreach.
